On May 2nd, 2023, the IIP Institute of Cultural and Creative Arts presented a talk on "Careers in Photography" to the students of Genesis Global School in Noida. The presentation was led by IIP mentor Sourav Kumar Das, who brought his expertise in the field to the students. The talk was met with great enthusiasm by the students, who were eager to learn more about the possibilities of a career in photography. Das began by discussing the basics of photography, he then delved into the various career paths available to those interested in photography, such as, advertising, lifestyle, fashion photography, travel & wildlife, photojournalism, and fine art photography. He showed them a selection of photographs and explained the thought process and techniques behind each one. This gave the students a valuable insight into the creative process of a professional photographer. Throughout the presentation, Das emphasized the importance of hard work, dedication, and passion for photography. He urged the students to take advantage of the opportunities available to them, such as joining photography clubs and participating in competitions. Overall, the presentation on "Careers in Photography" by the IIP Institute of Cultural and Creative Arts was a valuable experience for the students of Genesis Global School. Das's expertise and enthusiasm for the field inspired many of the students to consider pursuing photography as a career.
